Why Cooking Matters to Me
I enjoy cooking a great deal, thanks to my mom who has been a chef basically my whole life up until her recent retirement. She's always joked that I'm more creative than her because of my artistic inclinations, but I told her that's not true. Cooking is absolutely an artform, so I think of it as another outlet for expression rather than a chore.
We have to eat, and if we want to save money, we have to cook in some capacity. Why not try to enjoy it and make it interesting with personal flair? My purpose for sharing recipes is to show that you can have yummy, healthy, filling meals without having to be a trained chef or make a tornado in the kitchen. I typically have a three-pot maximum (two, if I can help it). My cooking style is where cleanliness, practicality, and a dash of laziness unite.
